Chapter Awards Application (Part Two)

Each year the Fraternity recognizes the outstanding work done by our chapters with awards announced at Leadership School. This application completes the two-part application process. Here you'll develop your short essays in each of the categories you're nominated for, as well as provide any supplementary material. Chapters should submit the application electronically by May 31, 2008. (Applications)

True Gentleman of the Year Application

The True Gentleman of the Year Award is the highest honor the fraternity can bestow on an undergraduate brother, presented annually to an undergraduate who has been determined to be the most outstanding collegiate of the Fraternity, considering scholastic achievement, fraternity involvement, university leadership and community service. Each chapter in good standing is encouraged to nominate a brother deserving of this honor. The 2008 True Gentleman of the Year will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Individual Awards Application

Each year Sigma Alpha Epsilon recognizes individuals who excel in their commitment and dedication to the Fraternity. Undergraduates can be nominated for the Outstanding Eminent Archon Award, Outstanding Eminent Treasurer Award and the Besser-Lindsey Scholar Athlete Award, while alumni can be nominated for the Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award (for the purposes of this award, a chapter advisor is any alumnus brother or non-member who serves in an advisory role for a chapter). Alumni Association & Housing Corporation Awards Application

Sigma Alpha Epsilon recognizes alumni groups who excel in their organization and service to the Fraternity. Recognition will be made in the following categories: • House Corporation • Chapter Alumni Association • Area Alumni Association • Communication (print, electronic, web) • Special Projects Applications should be e-mailed by May 31, 2008. True Gentleman Day of Service Commitment Form

Make a commitment to participate in the 2008 Day of Service! On April 25-27, in conjunction with the National Youth Service Day, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is proud to host the sixth annual True Gentleman Day of Service. All service and philanthropy events supporting any organization or people are welcome. We encourage you to plan a fundraising event, volunteer with a local organization or talk to your student affairs office about what service events are already underway for that weekend and see if you can get involved! SAE Ladies Leadership School Scholarship

The SAE Ladies Scholarship Fund will award two scholarships to cover the tuition of $450.00 for the John O Moseley Leadership School. Applications are due by May 20. (Applications, Applications)

2008 Foundation Student Loan Application

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation has more than $1.8 million available for student loans. In October, the Foundation trustees voted to make SAE student loans competitive with other products in the private-loan market. They agreed to lower the interest rate on new loans to prime rate plus 1 percent and increase the repayment period to ten years. Furthermore, they increased the maximum amount any person can borrow to $10,000. Previously, a borrower could take out a maximum of $5,000 per year, had five years to repay and faced prime plus 2.75 percent. (Applications)
